Accommodation information:
As you know, Móstoles is a town next to Madrid (17 km). It is very big and very well communicated with the city so if you choose to stay in the center or the south of Madrid you should be able to get to the uni in 20-40 minutes.
Diego prepared a lot of useful info for the first meeting and most of it is still up to date here:
http://edukalibre.org/meetings/first/
It has transport information, maps and links to some hotels. If you have any question, please don't hesitate and ask.
Also, you can visit http://www.bancotel.com which has info on various hotels which are supposed to be quite cheap. You can make searches in their web page.
http://www.ibishotel.com has a couple of hotels close to the uni. Specially one of them which is less than 2 kms from it. You can get the info and prices if you make a search for "mostoles españa" in their page.
There is also a lot of guest houses in Madrid (hostales). They are quite popular and much cheaper than hotels while many of them are just as confortable as hotels. They may be more recomendable for those who would like to stay in the centre of Madrid without spending a lot of money. There is a list here:
